Wasted enough time and money sanding the edges of your sub-floors after it rains?
Stabledge premium sub-flooring never swells when exposed to moisture and the tongue and groove edges fit together without a fight. Sheets lay flat and stay flat, without buckling or warping. Stabledge is the best value in premium sub-flooring for builders wanting to eliminate the expense and hassle of sanding joints. Stabledge carries the best No Sand Warranty in the business. That’s “50 Year No Sanding” (not 100, 200, or 300 days but 50 Years).
“Stabledge sub-flooring endured 10″ of rain over three days in September of 2008 from Hurricane Gustav and is serviceable for finish flooring without the need of sanding.” “With this much rain with plywood, I will generally have delaminating veneers to patch and sanding for edge swell.” “I will continue to use Stabledge flooring on my houses.” – Billy Ward, Owner of Champion Builders LLC
End Uses
Stabledge is a specifically engineered T&G structural panel to be used as a sub-floor panel in construction.
Features & Benefits
Stabledge is real advancement for OSB panels because there is no edge swell. It is an engineered wood product ideally suited to sub-floor applications.

Stabledge uses a patented process to provide a strong, solid, dimensionally stable sub-floor that is consistent from panel to panel.
Stabledge is more than that. The joints will not swell and will not require sanding — Stabledge comes with a 50-Year Warranty and that includes never having to sand due to swelling resulting from moisture absorption. However, exposure to moisture should be avoided in order to minimize the risk of development of mould and mildew.
Since Stabledge T&G was introduced, tens of thousands of homes have been built using Stabledge in all climate zones. From the wet, snow and cold in the north to the hot, humid, and wet climates along the coast in the south, Stabledge continues to be the panel of choice for those builders who want to build faster, reduce costs and increase profits.
Stabledge carries the APA grade stamp assuring the performance is built in and is rated for floor applications.
Premium unit covers help protect the panels during handling and storage. The Stabledge name is stamped on the face of each panel for easy identification by builders and homebuyers alike. This is a great sales tool for your sales people to take advantage of when promoting the high level of quality you build into your homes.

Handling & Storage
- Stabledge should be stored flat, indoors or under cover, protected from the elements.
- When stacked, panels with supports banded to the units need to have the stringers aligned.
- If stored outdoors, keep panels off the ground on a flat base, cover loosely to allow air circulation at the sides.
- Inventories of panels should be used on a first-in, first-out basis.
- OSB should not be exposed to weather or moisture on a continuous basis. However, Exposure 1 exterior bond rating indicates that unprotected exposure during ordinary construction period will not adversely affect the structural properties of the panel.
